How do I generate my own Fampay QR code to receive payments from friends?

I often split chai and snack bills with my friends, and it would be easier if they could just scan a code to pay me back. How can I generate my own FamPay QR code to receive payments directly from them?

Hii there, that’s a great question and here’s everything i found which will help you generate your own QR code in the FamApp (formerly FamPay) so friends can pay you easily.

How to create your payment QR code in FamApp:

1. Open the FamApp on your phone (make sure it’s updated).

2. Go to the “Receive / QR” or “Scan & Pay” section in the app—this is where they manage QR codes.

3. You should see an option like “Generate QR code”, “My UPI QR”, or something similar. This will produce a static QR code linked to your UPI ID or your FamApp account.

4. Once the QR is generated, you can tap “Share” or “Download” (if available) so you can send it to friends or let them scan it directly from your phone.

5. When your friends scan the QR code using any UPI app, they’ll see your account details pre-filled, and they can enter the amount and complete the payment.

6. Keep an eye on your app notifications—once payment goes through you should see it reflected in your FamApp wallet or bank-linked balance.

Why this is useful and what to keep in mind:

• It’s super convenient when splitting bills, getting friends to pay you back, or even collecting small payments.

The QR code works across any UPI enabled app, so your friends don’t need FamApp any UPI wallet or bank app should work.

• Make sure your account (and UPI ID) is fully KYC-verified in FamApp, sometimes QR-receive features are limited until KYC is complete.

• Even though the QR is linked to you, always verify the payment amount before approving, and double check that your account name shows correctly.

• Keep the QR code safe (if you’ve downloaded or shared it) because if it’s publicly visible, people could attempt payments to your account without you expecting them. Only share with trusted friends or contexts.
