Open the Tamil Nadu e-Sevai portal

Choose “Birth Certificate Services”
After logging in, select “Birth Certificate Services” from the service list and pick “Correction in Birth Certificate”. -
Fill the correction form
- Enter the birth registration number and the child’s date of birth exactly as printed on the old certificate.
- Choose the type of correction (name spelling, date of birth, parent name, etc.).
- Type the present (wrong) detail and the proposed (correct) detail.
- Upload supporting documents (each file under 200 KB, JPG or PDF)
- Current birth certificate (clear scan)
- Notarised affidavit on ₹50 stamp paper stating the correct detail
- Parent/child Aadhaar copy
- Early-life proof showing the correct detail (hospital discharge sheet, first school admission form, immunisation card)
- Online fee receipt (₹50–₹200 in most Tamil Nadu municipalities)
