How to change upi id on Amazon Pay Business? Like myname@apl

I want to know How i can add my name in the upi on amazon pay upi cause I run a small bakery named Chokhi Bakery – and i want to have a custom id so that my customer remember the name of my bakery while doing the payment and also when the see the history and as i am currently using the amazon pay i want to create a custom upi for the same.Please help

If you are using Amazon Pay UPI, you can’t really make a custom UPI ID with your bakery name. Amazon usually gives UPI IDs in the format mobilenumber@apl, so something like chokhibakery@apl is not possible there.

What you can do is change the display name. Just go to the Amazon app, open Amazon Pay, go to UPI settings, select your bank account and edit the display name. Put Chokhi Bakery there. Now when customers send money, they will see “Paying Chokhi Bakery” and even in their history it will show your bakery name instead of your personal name.

If you really want a proper custom UPI ID with your bakery name, then the better way is to create a merchant UPI account. PhonePe for Business, Paytm for Business or Razorpay let you make something like chokhibakery@paytm or chokhibakery@ybl. That looks professional, customers remember it easily, and it also gives you business features like settlement reports.

So with Amazon Pay UPI you can only change the display name. For a proper custom ID like chokhibakery@upi, go with a business UPI app.

If you want to make changes in the current Amazon Pay Upi you currently Have two options either:

  1. Contact your Amazon Pay Business agent who onboarded you an dcreated your current upi id, what they generally do is they change the phone number to any random alphabet id when creating the New QR.

  2. If you follow the following step you can generate a new qr code With New Amazon poy id

    1. Open Amazon App
    2. Tap on Amazon Pay
    3. Now, click on Amazon Pay UPI
    4. Near your bank logo you will see three dots in vertical, click on that a pop up will appear
    5. Choose manage UPI IDs and change your UPI ID
    6. Now, check if QR code still shows number. If yes, coming back to step 4 you’ll see show QR on top download and print.

Yes the same answer as @LalaJi the onboarding people who work for us merchants, can help in that as a businesses do change names if and when necessary and if thats not working then there are always be options

Like Paytm, Google Pay, Razer Pay, PhonePe etc
