I have been a credit card users for a long time and I had SBI Simplisave and Diners Club Black. Until last year I used to do all my spends (60-70K every month + 1.3L Insurance) on my Diners Club Black LTF. Then on I moved most of my spends to Tata Neu Infinity since i felt it is more or less cashback. I made good number of Neucoins on all my spends across categories (Lifetime earnings is 76K in 18 months). But except for Bigbasket rest of that ecosystem sucks. You can’t buy decent apparel or footwear on Cliq. Croma is awful for all the electrical purchases.
Thanks to the hype of this card, i just received SBI Cashback. Now I am planning to move all my spends to this card. My logic is cash beats everything, especially after the bad exp of neucoins. Offline spends are very little and i’ll keep them on my DCB as it has 3.3% returns on offline returns.
For SBI Cashback card, approval process has been smooth. I applied with the link i got from some post in this community on 26th March. The kyc happened next day. There were a couple of verification calls and another call where the call centre lady forcefully registered an add-on card for my wife, saying it’s free. On the same call she asked me to split credit between my SBI SimpleSave LTF (which i have been holding since 2018) but rarely used. I split the 7L amount into 5+2 in favour of the Cashback card.
Additionally, i hold ICICI Amazon Pay that i use for Amazon purchases. I’ll probably shift these to SBI as well. Any recommendations?, suggestions on my strategy? Like I mentioned, most of my purchases are online.
