The daily transaction limit on Paytm Wallet (via UPI) depends on the type of payment you are making:
- Regular UPI payments – Up to ₹1 lakh per transaction per day.
- Capital markets, collections, insurance & foreign inward remittances – Limit is ₹2 lakh per transaction.
- IPO applications & Retail Direct Scheme – Limit is higher, at ₹5 lakh per transaction.
- Payments to hospitals & educational institutions – As per the RBI update on Dec 8, 2023, the limit has been increased to ₹5 lakh per transaction (from the earlier ₹1 lakh).
In short, most users can transfer up to ₹1 lakh per day, but for specific categories like IPO, hospitals, or education, the limit goes up to ₹5 lakh per transaction.
