Account Aggregator vs Bank Statement for Canada Visa Application

Can I use an Account Aggregator report instead of traditional bank statements when applying for a Canada visa? Which option is faster and more reliable for showing financial proof?

Visa applications, including for Canada, require proof of financial stability. Traditionally, applicants provide physical or digital bank statements. With Account Aggregators, applicants can share verified financial data digitally. Understanding the differences between these options helps streamline the application process and ensures proper compliance with embassy requirements.

Using Account Aggregator Report for Canada Visa application

When I applied for a Canada visa, I submitted an Account Aggregator report that consolidated my savings, fixed deposits, and investment accounts. A friend mentioned that using the report allowed the visa officer to verify my financial history digitally, making the process faster than submitting multiple individual bank statements.

Using Traditional Bank Statements for Canada Visa application

A colleague relied on traditional bank statements. He downloaded monthly statements from his bank and submitted them as proof of funds. While this method is universally accepted, it took longer to collate statements from multiple accounts, and verification by the embassy could take additional time.

Combining Account Aggregator Report with Bank Statements Canada Visa application

On an online forum, users recommended combining an Account Aggregator report with at least one bank statement to ensure smooth processing. One user shared that this approach minimized delays because the aggregator report provided consolidated verification while the bank statement served as a supporting document.

As far as I know the Embassy of Canada or other countries currently not providing as option as to give the financial data in different format as AA statement or bank statement, so there might a cost saving for the embassies for processing the data but it has to be implemented by them first then we can provide the data and consent as per the requirements.
