Air India Maharaja Club : What benefits do I get with each tier?

are there better benefits with every higher tier of the club?

Depending on the Tier, Maharaja Club members get multiple benefits during ticket booking and access to priority services at the airport.
Like the tier list is red then silver followed by gold and the highest tier is platinum so here the red tier holders do not get priority services and the higher tier members get priority services.

The best benefit for me with each tier is the extra weight allowance that you get. With silver tier you get 5 kgs extra, with gold and platinum 20 kgs.

There are different benefits around cancellation or change of the tickets and the different tiers really come handy when you want to do changes after the booking to your tickets.

The Air india Maharaja Club is the top-tier of the Flying returns frequent flyer program which has 4 membership tiers.

  1. Base Member: The joining is free and you can earn miles on Air India & Partners.
  2. Silver Edge Club: The joining requirement is 25,000 Tier points or 15 flights per year. You may get 15% bonus miles with 10 kg extra baggage.
  3. Golden Edge club: The joining requirement is 50,000 Tier points or 35 flights per year. You may get 30% bonus miles with 15 kg extra baggage and priority check-in.
  4. Maharaja Club: The joining requirement is 75,000 Tier points or 60 flights per year. You may get 75% bonus miles with 20 kg extra baggage and global lounge access.

The Air India Maharaja Club has multiple tiers, and yes, the perks do get better as you move up. At the basic level, you get priority check-in and extra baggage allowance. As you climb tiers, you unlock lounge access, priority boarding, and bonus miles on flights. The highest tiers give you even more baggage, faster upgrades, and sometimes exclusive offers or invites. So basically, the more you fly and the higher your tier, the nicer the perks get making travel smoother and more comfortable.

The best tier benefits that I see are the extra baggage allowance and the upgrade vouchers that you get. There is an extra baggage allowance of 5kg with silver, 10kg with gold and 15kg with platinum tier in domestic flights and 1 extra bag in internationall flights for gold and platinum. At the same time, there is one upgrade voucher in silver tier and 2 in gold and 3 in platinum. Gold and platinum tier also give you free access to Air India or Star alliance lounges on most platforms.

Hey Shloka, think of the Maharaja Club like levels in a video game; the higher you go, the more perks stack up. You start with basics like priority check-in and extra baggage, then move into lounge access, faster upgrades, and finally that “treated like royalty” vibe at the top tier
