I recently came across the AU Bank Altura Credit Card with cashback and railway lounge benefits at a nominal fee. It sounds good for everyday spending, but I’m unsure how strict AU Bank is and what the actual application process looks like. Has anyone applied for it recently? What should I expect?

AU Bank Altura Credit Card Eligibility Criteria:

I applied to this card about one or two months ago. I did the eligibility check, then collected the necessary documents and then I completed the application. This is what I have gone through:

  • You must be a resident of India and should be between the age of 21-60 years
  • A monthly income (salaried or self employed) of at least 25000+ rupees is desirable
  • My credit score was over 730 and the application was granted
  • No previous AU Bank account is necessary although it can be an aid to the process
  • They pay attention to the consistency of income, working more than a year was an asset in my case

How I Applied for the AU Bank Altura Credit Card Online:

no third-party websites to fill out an application, only the official AU Bank one. The whole system was online and buys less than 10mins:

  • Entered and searched the URL of Au Bank Altura Credit Card and submitted the apply form
  • plugged in personal information such as PAN, mobile number, income, email
  • e-KYC completed in seconds
  • Submitted 2 salary slips of 2 months and last 3 months bank statement
  • then I added a digital passport-size photograph
  • There are no visits to branches or paperwork necessary

Documents Required for AU Bank Altura Credit Card:

when applying online, they requested the following:

  • PAN Card
  • Aadhaar Card (id and address proof)
  • The two recent payslips
  • Last 3 months Bank statement
  • A digital upload of one passport size photograph.

Approval Process and Card Delivery:

My documents were verified the following day after submission of documents The time of approval was approximately 2 working days. The tangible card arrived at my address in 6-days. It is possible to check your status on the AU Bank site using the mobile number or application ID.
