Well the answer is yes, this facility is available in some banks now, so they allow you to invest in your PPF account using UPI. I tried it recently and it is suitable for small or one-time deposits. You just open your banking app or UPI app, select the PPF payment option if your bank supports it and transfer the amount.
However, not all banks or post offices allow PPF deposits through UPI yet, so it’s good to check with your bank first.
Using UPI is a quick way to invest, mainly if you don’t want to log in to net banking or visit the branch.
