Hey folks, I was checking out the Kiwi Credit Card and got curious can it be linked directly to Google Pay or PhonePe for making UPI transactions, or does it only work through the Kiwi app? Anyone here using it who can share their experience?

I picked up the Kiwi Credit Card around 6 months ago and honestly, the whole UPI thing was a mess to figure out. I just wanted to slap it onto my Google Pay like every other card, but Kiwi forces you to use only their crappy app for UPI stuff you literally can’t add it to GPay or PhonePe like a normal person would.
Every now and then Kiwi would spam me with special UPI deals (bonus cashback or whatever) but only if I used their app, which just made me more annoyed since I was already used to my regular payment apps.

Now I’ve got yet another payment app taking up space on my phone just for one stupid card.

I’d automatically open GPay for small payments, then remember I needed that Kiwi app instead.

Kiwi’s app was clunky compared to GPay way more button pressing to pay for anything.

When friends tried splitting bills with me, my Kiwi UPI didn’t work with their usual apps.
So basically: Kiwi locks you into using only their app for UPI payments, won’t work with GPay, PhonePe, or anything normal people actually use fine for regular card swiping but the UPI restriction was a major pain for daily small payments.
