PayZapp Wallet and Google Pay Are Separate Systems
I was explaining this concept to my cousin. When you link your HDFC bank account to PhonePe, you are giving the PhonePe app permission to send payment instructions to your bank. However, the money in your PayZapp wallet is self-contained within the PayZapp ecosystem. How You Can Still Pay Merchants Across Apps
A colleague mentioned that he was able to use his PayZapp app to scan and pay a PhonePe merchant QR code, which seemed confusing at first. He clarified that recent changes have enabled âUPI interoperabilityâ for some wallets. This doesnât mean his wallet is linked inside the PhonePe app. It simply means the UPI network can now recognize his PayZapp UPI handle as a valid source to pay merchants, allowing the separate systems to communicate for a transaction.
