I was traveling recently and wanted to check my SBI HRMS account from outside India, but I wasn’t sure if using a VPN would work. Has anyone tried this and can share how it went?
Many people have this questionmainly when they are outside India and need to check their salary slip or pension paper.
Can I log in to SBI HRMS from outside India or with a VPN?
I was also curious about this, so I tried opening the SBI HRMS site while on a short trip abroad and noted what actually happens.

The site https://hrms.bank.sbi opens in any country.

Use normal hotel or home Wi-Fi first. If the page is slow, switch to mobile data.

A VPN is not needed, but you can use one if your office network blocks the page. Turn it off after the site loads so that your speed stays constant.

The OTP will reach your registered Indian mobile. Keep that SIM active or on roaming, or ask a family member to read the SMS for you.

If OTP does not arrive, send a short mail to [email protected] from your registered email and mention your PF Index, they will guide you.
That is all no special tool is required, just keep your Indian number reachable.
