I actually requested a credit limit increase on my Kotak credit card a while ago,
First, I went through the Kotak Mobile App (because it’s quicker). There’s an option under the ‘Credit Cards’ section to request an increase. I filled it out, and within a couple of days, I got a notification that my request was processed. Honestly, it’s pretty simple.
If you’re not a fan of apps, you can also use NetBanking or just call customer care at 1860 266 2666. They’re super helpful and can guide you through the process. I did that too just to get a feel for what they might need, and they told me I’d need to wait a few months of consistent usage if I wasn’t eligible yet.
One thing to keep in mind is that if you’ve only had the card for a short time, Kotak might not approve the increase right away. They’ll usually want to see at least 6 months of good payment history before they’ll even consider it. And of course, having a good credit score helps.
