Do Indians need a Priority Pass to access the BLR 080 International Lounge?

I am an Indian flying to Singapore from Bangalore. I have a premium Indian credit card, but I don’t have a Priority Pass card. Can I still get into the 080 International Lounge?

No, Indian passengers do not necessarily need a Priority Pass to access the 080 International Lounge at Bangalore Airport. While Priority Pass is one of the accepted programs, the lounge also grants complimentary access directly through a wide range of eligible Indian credit and debit cards that have an international lounge benefit.

Priority Pass is Just One of Many Options

I was discussing this with a friend who is a frequent international traveller from Bangalore. He confirmed that while he does have a Priority Pass, he often doesn’t need to use it at his home airport. He said the 080 International Lounge has direct tie-ups with so many card programs that it’s one of the easiest international lounges in India to access with a domestic premium card.

Using Your Indian Credit or Debit Card Directly

My cousin recently flew to Dubai and used his Indian credit card for access. He doesn’t have a Priority Pass, but he holds an ICICI Sapphiro credit card. At the 080 Lounge reception, he simply presented his credit card and his boarding pass. The card was swiped, and because it includes complimentary international lounge access (through the Dreamfolks network), he was granted free entry without any hassle.

How Card Network Access Works

The lounge staff explained to my cousin that they have direct partnerships with major card networks. This means that if you have a premium Indian-issued card, such as a Visa Signature, Visa Infinite, Mastercard World, or an equivalent high-tier RuPay or Diners Club card, it likely has an international lounge access feature. You can often get in just by presenting that card, without needing a separate Priority Pass membership card.
