I usually fly to destinations which are served only by Indigo and Air India Express. Just wondering if I can claim points in your maharaja club account by flying with Air India express?
Air India Express will also become a member of Air India’s loyalty scheme, Maharaja Club. The scheme will integrate Air India Express customers into one group loyalty scheme.
Explanation:
Air India’s loyalty scheme, Maharaja Club, is being re-designed and will have Air India Express customers.
The scheme will have a points-based program with better “earn and burn” options.
Air India is also developing co-branded credit cards to enhance customer rewards.
Air India Express’ frequent flyer program is now merged with the Tata NeuPass program.
Advantages of Maharaja Club:
Members earn points that are eligible for Award Flights and Cabin Upgrades.
The program is point-based with improved “earn and burn” chances.
Wow. That looks like a big decision from Air India, specially after how it consciously chose not to include Air India Express at the time of the launch of Maharaja Club.
I guess it will then be a breeze for a lot of people like me who take short distance cheaper flights to complete that 30 or 60 flights milestone to get the silver and gold tier membership upgrade to Maharaja Club
