Does any credit card give Air India Maharaja Club gold membership?

Infinia earlier used to give complimentary Club Vistara gold membership to its users at the time of signing up. However, I am not sure if that benefit is passed along after the merger with Air India Maharaja Club.

Just wondering if there is any other card which gives Maharaja Club gold membership or other such benefits with star alliance airlines?

Wow. I certainly did not know about this benefit. This looks like one of the best features for a card, at least for a non branded card.

I have heard some of the Air India co branded cards with HDFC, SBI and IDFC First bank give bonus maharaja points at the time of card issuance or card renewal but not sure of any card promising direct upgrade to gold/silver tier of the membership.

HDFC and IDFC First both are launching new Air India co-branded card in next few weeks… Let’s hope for the best.

Nope, no credit card gives you straight-up Maharaja Club Gold. You gotta earn it by flying a lot or spending big on Air India tickets. That Axis Vistara Infinite thing was a one-time fluke after the merger — not a regular perk.

Infinia used to give complimentary Club Vistara Gold, but that ended with the Vistara–Air India merger. At the moment no credit card in India offers direct Maharaja Club Gold or Star Alliance Gold. Some premium cards like Amex Platinum or Axis Magnus give you airline vouchers, hotel statuses, or travel credits, but nothing translates into Star Alliance Gold status.

ooo this is interesting to know
