For excess payment refunds to existing IDFC FIRST Bank accounts or for amounts less than Rs. 5k, please call 1800-10-888. To receive an excess payment refund exceeding Rs. 5k to an account other than an IDFC FIRST Bank Savings Account, please send a copy of the bank statement.

If you’ve made an extra payment on your IDFC FIRST credit card, don’t worry, it’s easy to sort out.

You have two options. You can either use the extra amount by spending normally with your card and the excess will automatically get adjusted. Or, if you want the money back in your bank account, you can request a refund.

To do that, just call customer care or raise a request through the app or net banking. They might ask for a few basic details and your bank account info. The refund usually gets processed in 5 to 7 working days.
