Can someone explain the exact steps to unlock a locked YONO account, including what to do if I forgot my MPIN, entered the wrong credentials too many times, or if the app locked me out for security reasons?
How Do I Unlock My SBI YONO App Account If It Is Locked?
If you repeatedly enter the incorrect MPIN or password, switch devices abruptly, or SBI notices a security risk, your SBI YONO app account may be locked. The good news is that unlocking it without going to a branch is simple.
1. Use the “Forgot MPIN/Password” Option
- Open the YONO SBI app
- Tap “Login”
- Select “Forgot MPIN” or “Forgot User ID / Password”
- Verify using OTP sent to your registered mobile number
- Create a new MPIN or password
2. Unlock Using Internet Banking
- Visit https://www.onlinesbi.sbi
- Log in with your Net Banking credentials
- Go to Profile → Change Login Password / Reset Profile Password
- Reset or update your credentials
- Try logging in to YONO again
3. Clear App Cache or Reinstall YONO (If App Says “Account Locked”)
Steps for Android:
- Settings → Apps → YONO SBI → Storage → Clear Cache
Or reinstall:
- Uninstall YONO → Reinstall from official Play Store/App Store
4. If You Changed Your Mobile or Device
- Log in again using Internet Banking credentials
- Complete OTP verification on your registered mobile number
- Set a new MPIN
5. Contact SBI Customer Care (If Nothing Works)
