I have a credit card and I want to add money to my UPI wallet using it. I’d like to know how this can be done. Will there be any charges for adding money via credit card, or is there a way to do it without paying any fees?

Hey, this is one of the most used Credit card features nowadays, but here is the reality:
There are no free options right now to add money to UPI wallets using a credit card.
Almost every wallet whether it’s Paytm, PhonePe, Amazon Pay, or Mobikwik charges a 2–3% fee when you try to load money through a credit card.
Here’s how you can add money to wallet using credit cards:
Just open your wallet app → tap on Add Money → select your Credit Card → and it’ll clearly show the extra fee before payment.
So always check that first and decide whether you’re okay with paying that extra charge.
And if we talk about free options?
There are no permanent free methods, but sometimes platforms like CRED or PayZapp run limited-time offers where the charges are waived or reduced.
You’ll have to keep checking the offers section on those apps. It’s not regular, but worth grabbing if it pops up.
My suggestion would be to:
Only load your wallet using a credit card if you’re facing a cash crunch and you’re sure you can repay it before the due date.
Otherwise, with fees + interest (if you delay payment), you might end up paying way more than you expected.
