I’m planning to add money to my PhonePe Wallet using my credit card and was wondering if this is allowed and whether any charges apply. Can we load our wallet using a credit card, and if yes, does PhonePe charge a convenience fee for it?

You can add money to your PhonePe Wallet using a credit card but only if you’re KYC‑verified, as this feature is disabled for non-KYC users. To do so, open the app, go to My Money then PhonePe Wallet, enter the amount, select Credit Card, and complete the OTP-based authentication . Be aware that PhonePe charges a convenience fee of around 1.5–3% (plus GST) on credit card top ups . Also note your wallet limit is ₹10,000 balance with ₹10,000/month and ₹1.2 L/year reload caps, per RBI regulations.
Hey! You can’t directly add money to the PhonePe Wallet using a credit card anymore. PhonePe has limited wallet loading to UPI and debit cards only. Credit card loading used to be possible but has mostly been disabled due to RBI guidelines and wallet regulations.
Even if it shows up for you somehow, chances are you’ll either get an error or be charged a convenience fee, usually around 1 to 2 percent. So it’s best to use a debit card or UPI to avoid charges and ensure smooth loading.
