My sister recently told me that she has invested in EPF(Employee Provident Fund) and she does not have enough knowledge about it yet . As she was not able to check her EPF balance , may i know what are the different ways to check the EPF balance ?
Even i used to face problems while checking my EPF balance , but from past few weeks I’m able to do it well.
There are various methods for checking EPF balance you can choose any one of the following mentioned methods :-
1. Using the EPFO Portal:
You can visit the official EPFO portal, then, Navigate to “For Employees” under “Our Services”, Select “Member Passbook”, Login using your UAN and password, and View your PF balance and transaction details.
2. Using the UMANG App:
You can download and install the UMANG app.
Link your UAN with the app.
Access your EPF account and view the balance.
3. Using SMS:
You can send SMS to 7738299899 from your registered mobile number.
The SMS should be in the format “EPFOHO UAN ”.
For example, to check in English, send “EPFOHO UAN 123456789012 ENG”.
Supported languages include English, Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati, Marathi, Kannada, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Bengali.
4. Using a Missed Call:
You can give a missed call to 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.
Your call will be disconnected automatically, and you will receive an SMS with your EPF balance details.
5. Through Your Employer’s HR System:
Contact your company’s HR or payroll department.
They may have an internal portal or method for accessing your EPF balance.
