you are already holding a SGB in certificate form, you can convert it into demat form by following a very easy process.
- First you need to visit your bank, post office or RBI office wherever you purchased the bond.
- Now you have to fill a demat request form and provide your demat account details.
- Submit the your original certificate of holding along with KYC documents.
- After this process, next comes the bank or agent, who will process the request and send it to RBI for approval.
- After the verification process is over, the bonds will appear in your demat account and you can trade them on the stock exchange.
