I have an ICICI Bank account but I don’t want to use net banking anymore. Can someone guide me on how to deactivate ICICI net banking services? Do I need to visit the branch, or can it be done online?

Call their customer service number - Rang 1860 120 7777 and some lady answered who wouldn’t stop questioning why I wanted it closed. She kept trying to convince me otherwise.

Make sure they record your request - The phone person said I could just ignore the service instead. Had to get stubborn and force them to log an official closure request.

Go to any ICICI branch nearby - Grabbed my Aadhaar card, PAN card, and that old passbook from my drawer. Thankfully any branch location works fine.

Fill their service change form - Bank guy handed me some papers about digital service changes. Ended up scribbling my account details everywhere multiple times.

Write a simple application letter - Just wrote something like “Please disable net banking for account XYZ, thanks.” Double checked my signature looked exactly right.

Take the receipt they provide - Got some slip with random reference codes on it. Stuffed it in my wallet so I wouldn’t lose it.

Wait for confirmation message - They promised SMS within 2-3 days but mine showed up almost a week later. Typical bank timing.
