How to fill and submit the SBI transaction dispute form (TDF)?

I recently faced an issue with a transaction on my SBI account and came across the Transaction Dispute Form (TDF). Has anyone here filled and submitted this form before, can you tell me the process?

I was also curious about this when I tried to understand how SBI handles disputes. The Transaction Dispute Form (TDF) may look confusing at first but it’s actually simple.

How to Fill and Submit the SBI Transaction Dispute Form (TDF)?

  • Get the Form: Download the TDF from SBI’s official website or collect it from your home branch.

  • Fill in Personal Details: Write your name, registered mobile number, email I’d, account number and branch details.

  • Transaction Details: Mention the details of dispute like transaction date, time, amount, merchant id and reference number.

  • Type of Dispute: tick the reason for the dispute like amount not dispensed from ATM, fraudulent online transaction or merchant charged twice.

  • Supporting Documents: Attach the copies of bank statements showing the disputed entry, transaction slip and any email or sms related to the case.

  • Declaration & Signature: you have to sign the form declaring that the information is true. If you submit it without the signature then bank won’t process it.

  • Submit the Form: you can submit the filled TDF along with documents at your home branch or in some cases you can upload it through SBI net banking.

  • Acknowledgement: you will get an acknowledgement slip or reference number for the bank to track your dispute status.
