I have a ICICI credit card and just saw that it has launched a iShop Rewards Portal, a reward portal like HDFC’s SmartBuy and Axis Bank’s Grab Deals. How can it be beneficial for ICICI credit card holders?

ICICI Bank’s iShop portal offers credit cardholders a convenient platform to book flights, bus tickets, hotel stays, and purchase gift vouchers, while also earning accelerated reward points of up to 12X. The exact multiplier varies based on the type of transaction and the specific credit card variant used.

Cardholders can also redeem their reward points on the same portal for travel bookings and gift voucher purchases, making it a one-stop platform for both earning and using rewards.

The portal provides:

  • 12X reward points on hotel bookings
  • 6X reward points on flights, bus tickets, and gift vouchers

Depending on the card variant, the effective reward rate can go up to 36%. The table below outlines the different reward multipliers and corresponding benefits for various ICICI credit cards and transaction categories on the iShop portal.

Good to see more competition as it benefits the consumers, so now there are 5 major portals like HFDCs Smartbuy, Axis Travel Edge, ICICI iShop, HSBC Travel redemption.

Lets hope many more banks come up with more programs like these as it puts as at par major markets like US, UK, China in banking.
