Can someone actually load ICICI Pockets with credit cards? Seeing mixed reports about fees

Been using ICICI Pockets wallet for months now, and honestly there are none , but there are some gotchas..

What’s Actually Free:

  • App download and signup - ₹0
  • Account maintenance - ₹0 (no monthly/yearly fees)
  • Virtual VISA card - ₹0 (works for online shopping)
  • Loading money via UPI/debit card - ₹0
  • Loading from ICICI Bank account - ₹0

Where You’ll Pay:

  • Physical Pockets card - ₹99-₹118 + GST (one-time)
  • Credit card loading - Technically not allowed, but some report 1-2% + GST when it works

So yeah the app stays completely free as long as you stick to UPI/debit card loads and don’t need the physical card. No maintenance fees, no surprise deductions.
