By chance I miss the payment or exceed my card limit what are the penalties for not paying on time or spending more than I’m allowed?
Yes, Axis Bank charges a late payment fee for the Atlas Credit Card if the payment is late or less than the minimum amount due. There is also a fee for exceeding the credit limit.
Late payment fee
- There is no late payment fee if the total payment due is up to Rs. 500
- The late payment fee is Rs. 500 if the total payment due is between Rs. 501 and Rs. 5,000
- The late payment fee is Rs. 750 if the total payment due is between Rs. 5,001 and Rs. 10,000
- The late payment fee is Rs. 1,200 if the total payment due is greater than Rs. 10,000
Late Payment Fees on Axis Bank Atlas Credit Card
If you miss the payment due date or pay less than the Minimum Amount Due (MAD), Axis Bank applies the following late payment charges:
• Up to ₹500 due: ₹0
• ₹501 to ₹5,000 due: ₹500
• ₹5,001 to ₹10,000 due: ₹750
• Over ₹10,000 due: ₹1,200
Additionally, if you miss the MAD for two consecutive billing cycles, an extra ₹100 fee is added to each subsequent statement until the MAD is cleared.

Over Limit Charges:
If your outstanding balance exceeds your credit limit, Axis Bank imposes an over-limit fee:
2.5% of the over-limit amount, subject to a minimum of ₹500.
