Once the credit card is dispatched, the dispatchment details of the credit card will be shared by the way of SMS on the registered mobile number and then the shipment can be tracked using courier’s website.
Haha. I get your concern. This is one of the most frustrating points for HSBC customers as there is no easy way to check the credit card application status.
HSBC bank does not have a website portal to check the credit card application status in India. If you have applied for HSBC Credit card, you will need to email them at [email protected] or call them on the HSBC phonebanking numbers

Looks like this is a concern for a lot of people. I applied for the HSBC premier card last week through swiggy and still waiting for a revert. They have just confirmed the receipt of the application but apart from that, they have not given me any communication. I have tried calling them on their official phonebanking numbers as well.
Has anyone here had luck finding their application status through phonebanking? I am not so confident on getting a reply through email either, but will try
I had applied for the HSBC Live+ credit card and I got my final revert in 20 days that the card application was approved and they would dispatch the card shortly.
In total, it took me 28 calender days from the time of application to the delivery of the credit card.
And yes, you do get a revert on the email. Simply mention your application number in the email subject while emailing them and you do get a reply within 2-3 days. Good luck with your HSBC Credit Card Application ![]()
I got the message from HSBC that the card will be delivered in 7 days on the 11th day after video kyc.
But to contact them, even though I couldn’t reach them but to talk to a human in the IVR, instead of track new application, go to apply for a new card, they transfer to a customer executive (it was taking a long time so I disconnected before I could talk)
So the IVR options would be ( as far as I remember): 1 (choosing language as english) then “#” then 4

HSBC do provide details while processing the request and if you want to track it yourself then there are 3 ways
- Call the support team and get the latest updates
- Email the Credit Card department and wait for their reply (1 to 3 business days is common)
- Check the updates on the HSBC app (best solution)
You can call HSBC customer service at 1800 267 3456 or 1800 121 2208 (within India) or +91 40 6126 8002 or +91 80 7189 8002 (overseas). After verifying your identity, the IVR or the executive will notify you about the card’s status.
