SEBI planning incentives for the first time women investors!

As of 2025, women make up 26% of all unique mutual fund investors in India and account for about 33% of the total Assets Under Management (AUM) held by individual investors. To encourage more women to participate in mutual fund investments, SEBI has proposed special incentives for distributors who bring in first-time women investors, its Chairperson said on Friday.

“We are proposing to give additional incentives to distributors of mutual funds for first-timewomen investors,” SEBI Chairperson Tuhin Kanta Pandey announced at an AMFI event.

Details of the incentive structure are yet to be revealed.
