Unrecognized Priority Pass transactions worth 10k, SBI Prime


I have never been to a lounge in January, let alone using a priority pass for that matter.

I never got a transaction alert on my email nor on SMS. I didn’t check the app regularly because I don’t use this card regularly since the Vistara acquisition.

I am sure SBI customer support is just gonna refuse all my request for reversal of these charges, but what can be done here?

If anyone had experience dealing in such situations, how do I prove that I didn’t use it any lounge and I am completely unaware of such transactions? Whom should I reach out to? And what rights do I have that I can leverage to get this reversed?

On a side note- Isn’t this illegal if this was system glitch/error?

Had a similar experience with my Axis card, they do not charge the PP swipe right away or in the same billing cycle rather they do it few months later(mostly end of year).

Only PP issued against Infinia is free to use domestically. Other cards would be charged per swipe. I believe you had swiped you PP in lounges sometime during the last year and the charges are accumulated now.

They do this. I got charged for 2 visits on my SBI Elite card last year. They did it 2 months after my visit to that airport. I asked guy to check my priority pass for complimentary visit but when he declined I used my DCB. Still after 2 months SBI charged saying that they charge priority pass visits on a quarterly basis. And when I told them I used a different card for my lounge visit they asked me for receipt which I did not have after 2 months (I was not expecting there would be a charge later) So ended up bearing those 5k charges They did not do anything and I closed my card as soon as I can after that and capitalising as much as I can on annual benefits SBI is the worst
