what are different rewards and cashbacks these HSBC cards offer? I am thinking to add one in my credit card portfolio.
HSBC credit cardholders can earn points on every purchase and redeem them for vouchers across various categories. Points can also be converted into air miles for leading airlines such as Air India, Etihad Airways, British Airways, and Singapore Airlines. Airport lounge access is also there. Additional benefits include discounts at restaurants, entertainment venues, and hotels, as well as a waiver on fuel surcharges.
The HSBC Premier and Elite cards also come with free airport lounge access and dining discounts. If you’re into travel or premium perks, they’re worth checking out!
| Category | Best HSBC Credit card |
|---|---|
| Cashback on shopping | HSBC cash back credit card |
| Travel and lounge access | HSBC premier or HSBC Elite credit card |
| Rewards on spending | HSBC Visa Platinum Card |
| Low-fee card for beginners | HSBC Smart value card |
hsbc is pretty decent if you want something simple. the cashback credit card is the one most people go for, it gives 1.5 percent back on online spends and 1 percent on everything else. they usually give some welcome vouchers too if you spend a bit in the first few months.
the platinum card is lifetime free but honestly the rewards are weak, it’s more about random dining and travel offers through their partners. not really something you’d use as your main rewards card.
where hsbc shines is during sales. they keep running 10 to 15 percent instant discount offers on amazon, flipkart, make my trip etc. so it works well as a backup for those times.
if you already have cards like axis ace or hdfc millennia, this one won’t replace them but can be useful in your portfolio for the extra offers.
