What documents are required to raise a transaction dispute with Bank of Baroda?

I need to raise a transaction dispute with Bank of Baroda but I’m not sure which documents to prepare. Has anyone here gone through this process, what paperwork did the bank ask for and was anything else required to complete the dispute?

I was also curious about this when I first had to face a wrong debit on my Bank of Baroda card.

Documents You Need to Raise a Transaction Dispute with Bank of Baroda

Bank of Baroda accepts disputes online (fastest) or on paper, both routes ask for the same set of papers. Keep them ready and you can lodge the complaint in under five minutes.

  • Filled Transaction Dispute Form (TDF) : download from http://bankofbaroda.in or pick up at any branch, write your account number, card last-4 digits, transaction date, amount, and reason.

  • Proof that the charge happened : SMS alert, e-mail statement, or passbook page that shows the debit you are fighting.

  • Proof that the charge was wrong : ATM slip (if cash not dispensed), merchant bill (if amount differs), photo of blank ATM screen, delivery note (if goods not received), or e-mail you sent to the merchant asking for a refund.

  • Your ID proof : copy of PAN or Aadhaar (only if you submit paper form; online login already verifies you).

  • Bank details : cancelled cheque or first page of passbook so the bank can credit the money back if your claim is upheld.

Extra Papers for Special Cases

  • Failed ATM : cash-load sheet or guard note helps, but SMS + photo of machine is enough.

  • Online fraud : FIR copy or cyber-cell complaint (if you have one) is useful but not compulsory for the first claim.
