What is the new limit on amazon pay for paying Utility bills(electricity and gas bills)?

I tried to contact the amazon pay support to know the limit for paying my factory electricity bill but i didnt got any reply so right know i am in tight situation as i have already loaded my wallet with 40k paying the .36 percent fee but i am not able to the pay the bill also..?

So the maximum limit is Rs 50,000 but the you will have to use Amazon UPI and in your case you have loaded the wallet so the maximum you can pay per month is Rs 15000

This is as per the amazon help page

Amazon Pay Limit on payment of utility bills has been revised recently. Earlier there was no limit on the amount you could pay, however, it has now been capped at INR 50,000 for the payments through credit cards, UPI and netbanking.

If you are planning to use Amazon Pay Balance to pay the utility bill (water, electricity, mobile, broadband etc.), then the limit would be INR 15000 per month.

Hope this helps.

Amazon Pay has recently updated its utility bill payment limits. You can now use Amazon Pay balance only for bills below ₹15,000, while any bill between ₹15,000 and ₹50,000 must be paid through Amazon Pay UPI .
Payments above ₹50,000 are currently not supported on Amazon. That’s why a ₹40,000 electricity bill won’t go through if you try to pay directly with wallet balance. If your wallet is Full KYC verified, you can transfer the balance to your bank account and pay from there.

The new Amazon Pay wallet limit for utility bill payments like electricity and gas is ₹10,000 per transaction and ₹25,000 per month. This change came after RBI’s updated rules on wallets, so even if you load ₹40k you won’t be able to use all of it on one big bill. I know it’s annoying especially since you already paid the 0.36% fee while loading, but right now the only workaround is to see if your electricity provider allows split payments or just use Amazon Pay UPI or a linked bank account for higher amounts. The cap is regulatory, so support won’t really have a different answer.
