Hello, I own a 2022 bike insured with Reliance General Insurance and am considering the Zero Depreciation add-on. What exactly does this add-on cover, and is it worth opting for with a two-year-old bike like mine?
Hey, When I was renewing my Reliance bike insurance for my 2022 model, I looked into the Zero Depreciation add-on. At first, I wasn’t sure if it was worth it since the bike was already a couple of years old, but after comparing the benefits, I found it to be very useful.
Why It’s Worth Considering:
Normally, when you make a claim, the insurer deducts depreciation on parts like plastic, rubber, and fiber, meaning you pay more out of pocket. With the Zero Dep add-on, Reliance covers the full cost of replaced parts without factoring in depreciation. For a bike that’s just 2–3 years old, this can save a good amount during accidental repairs.
My Take:
I found it worth adding because it gave me peace of mind knowing I wouldn’t have to bear unexpected expenses in case of an accident. For a 2022 bike, it’s still quite valuable since the bike’s parts hold good value.
