IDFC FIRST Bank offers the facility of blocking and unblocking your credit card from its mobile app or website. You can instantly block your card by following the steps below:

Mobile Banking / Internet Banking

  1. Once logged in to Mobile/Internet banking, click on Credit Card
  2. Click on Permanent Block.
  3. Click the checkbox for card replacement.

Note: Card replacement will incur a charge as per T&C

Customer Portal

  1. Navigate to the credit card page
  2. Select block your credit card option under card management tab
  3. Enter your registered mobile number and authenticate via OTP
  4. Post successful authentication, select permanent block and confirm

If you’ve lost your credit card, don’t panic but act quickly. The first thing you should do is block it. You can do this through the mobile app or net banking by going to the card section and selecting the option to report it as lost.

If you can’t access the app, just call customer care and they’ll take care of it. A replacement card will be sent to you, usually within a few working days.

Also, check your recent transactions for anything suspicious. If you notice anything unusual, report it right away. If there’s fraud, you might need to file a police complaint too. Better to stay on the safe side.
