Who is eligible for Kiwi Credit Card - students, salaried, or both?

Hey guys, I’ve been hearing a lot about the Kiwi Credit Card and was wondering who can actually apply for it. Is it only for salaried professionals with regular income, or are students and beginners also eligible? Anyone here applied recently and can share the eligibility requirements?

I got the Kiwi Credit Card around 6 months ago when I was still figuring out the whole credit card thing and honestly, getting approved was way easier than I thought it would be. Kiwi takes both working people and students, but students gotta show they’re making some money which was pretty cool since most regular banks basically tell students to get lost.

Every so often Kiwi would spam special deals for students (easier approval or bonus stuff) but the main requirements pretty much stayed the same whenever I checked.

Who they actually approved and what they wanted What you gotta earn What papers they needed What actually went down for me
People with jobs (Regular working folks) ₹15,000 monthly at least Salary slips, bank stuff My buddy making ₹18k got approved super quick
Students making money (College kids with income) ₹10,000 monthly proof Internship papers, freelance work My cousin showed tutoring money, got it approved
Age thing (How old you gotta be) Just 18+ years Basic age proof Way better than other banks wanting 21+
Credit history (Whether you’ve had cards before) Doesn’t matter much They check if you have any I had literally zero history, still got approved
Broke students (College kids with no income) Pretty much screwed Parents’ money doesn’t count Friend with no income got completely rejected

Cool stuff I found out while applying:

  • They actually counted my random freelance work, while other banks acted like it didn’t exist.

  • You only need to be 18, not 21 like most banks that act like you’re a baby.

  • They didn’t care that I’d never had a credit card before, unlike HDFC that wanted me to prove myself first.

  • Whole thing was done through their app, didn’t have to deal with any bank branch nonsense.

So in short: Kiwi works for both working people (₹15k+ monthly) and students making some cash (₹10k+ monthly), students with zero income usually get rejected way more chill about students than regular banks if you can prove you’re making at least some money.
