I’ve got some money in my Amazon Pay balance, but when I go to checkout, the option is completely greyed out and unselectable. Anyone else faced this?
Tried it on a few different items — sometimes it shows up, sometimes it doesn’t. KYC is done, and balance is active. Is it a category issue or some glitch?
Cannot Use my own Money..lol
Hello there..Can you mention what kind of payment you were trying to make…
Cause Amazon Pay balance only works on specific categories. It won’t work for stuff like:
Gold & silver coins
Gift cards
High-value electronics (in some cases)
Certain third-party sellers who don’t accept wallet payments
Prepaid recharges via some operators
Also, if your balance isn’t enough to cover the full payment, and the seller doesn’t support split payments (wallet + card/UPI), it’ll just be greyed out.
You said your KYC is done, so that’s not the issue — but still worth double-checking under Amazon Pay > Settings > Wallet Status.
If it’s still greyed out across the board, top-up ₹1 and check again. Sometimes the system “wakes up” with a small refresh.
The most common case is you don’t have sufficient funds to do the purchase you want and if that’s not the case then you might be shopping from some excluded category like Gift cards, Gold & Sliver coins etc
Lastly there can be chance that you might have exhausted your Amazon pay limit as amazon has recently changed the maximum amount of payment you can do on some categories like bills, insurance etc.
If that is not the case then go to the customer care of amazon if it is a technical problem
