Why doesn’t amex cards have a pre-set spending limit in India?
It can be a little convenient, but I feel at the same time, it is a bit uncertain since person never really might know what they are working with. Is it worth the freedom, or does the lack of clarity make it a bit risky?

American Express cards with no pre-set spending limit (NPSL), such as the Platinum and Gold charge cards in India, don’t have a fixed credit cap—instead, your spending capacity is dynamically assessed based on factors like your payment history, card usage, and financial profile. This allows greater flexibility for high-value purchases, but it’s not unlimited credit.
